Once a quiet French hill resort near the Chinese border, the
town of Sapa now draws visitors from around the world. Travelers
admire dramatic mountain scenery, trek to remote Hmong and Yao villages
to see women create batik and embroidered goods and bargain for
made-for-tourist handicrafts in a lively marketplace. The
trip combines with World heritage of Ha Long Bay. Located
in the Gulf of Tonkin, the bay covers an area of
1500 square km. With more than a thousand limestone peaks soaring
from its crystalline emerald water this area is one of the natural
wonders of Vietnam and now a World Heritage listed site. Visitors
have constantly marvel at Ha Long Bays’ natural beauty. The
tiny islands are dotted with innumerable beaches and grottoes created
by the wind and the waves that make a excellent backdrop for swimming
or just lazing about on the boat deck.
Day 1 : Sat: Hanoi - Sapa
Our trip starts with an overnight train journey from Vietnams capital
city to the border town of Lao Cai. The luxury Victoria Express
departs at 22:00 pm
Day 2 : Sun: BachHa Market
The train arrives at the Lao Cai train station at approximately
06:00. We will have a breakfast at Lacai before we head out for
a stunning spectacular of bobbling bazaar. Bac Ha is considered
one of the most wonderful and colorful markets in extreme north
Vietnam where thousands of local people in their traditional attires
busily buy and sell the local produces. Dog, cat, pig, horse...
are all on sales. This is golden opportunity to take best shots!
Afternoon we will have a pleasant walk to Ban Pho village, home
to flower H'mong people. Opportunity to interact with friendly local
people and have pleasant walk amongst tribal villages. Transfer
to Sapa. Diner and overnight Victoria Sapa hotel .(Breakfast, lunch
and diner included)
Day 3 : Mon: Sapa Villages
Buffet breakfast at the hotel Embark on a lovely walk that will
take us along small paths and trails and through several hill tribe
villages of Lao Chai and Tavan, home to H'mong, and Dzay people.
This is a absolutely spectacular walk through stunning scenery inhabited
by some of the friendliest people you can meet. Stopping for a picnic
lunch on the way at a family in Ta Van village. Opportunity to meet
with local people and study the art of making batik and local weaving
villages - study textile tradition of craft women o Black H'mong
and Red Dzao. Overnight at Victoria Sapa hotel .(Breakfast and lunch
included)
Day 4: Tue: Sapa - Hanoi
Buffet Breakfast at the hotelToday there will be a walking tour
to the hill tribe villages of Cat Cat, and Sansaho village home
to the H'mong hill tribes minority peoples. As we walk to the villages
nestled in the valley below Sapa, we will meet some of the local
minority people on their way to and from Sapa. Here we have the
opportunity to share cultural experiences with the families that
live in the area. Return to Sapa. Later in the afternoon there will
be at transfer to Laocai station for overnight train back to Hanoi.(Breakfast
included)
Day 5 : Wed: Hanoi - Halong bay Junk
cruise
We arrive back to Hanoi station at 0600
am Pick up from station for a 3 hour drive through the Red River
Delta to Ha Long City. Breakfast served en route. Comfort stop en
route for photos and coffee before arriving to Halong City We then
transfer to a refurbished wooden sailing junk for a cruise through
the limestone cliffs and emerald waters of Halong Bay, giving us
the chance to take in the stunning scenery of this World Heritage
Site. While on board we will be served a sumptuous fresh, local
seafood lunch followed by a swim and exploring some of the limestone
caves in this area. When the sun comes down we drop anchor for the
night nearby a remote island.
- 12h30: Board Huong Hai Junk, check-in registration
- 13h00: Have lunch with welcome wine
- 14h00: A fantastic cruise in Ha Long bay
- 15h00. Optional visit to Thien Cung cave ,
Dau Go cave, round over Tuan Chau island, or Sungsot cave
- Swim at lovely beaches.
- 18h00: Junk cruise anchors by the lagoon
- 19h00: Enjoy 4 course diner and overnight on
Junk (Breakfast lunch and diner included)
Day 6 : Thu: Halong bay Junk cruise
- Hanoi
- 07h30 : Junk boat once again sets sail through
breathtaking secluded Halong bay
- 08h00: Enjoy breakfast while cruising
- 9h00 : Visit Bai tu long Bay , Teapot island
, Chopsticks island , Bai tho mountain.
- 11h00 : Return to Halong city and have lunch
on board.
- 12h00 : Back to Halong wharf and disembarkTransfer
back to Hanoi. Arrival Hanoi by 5pm. Drop off at your hotel in
Hanoi. The trip concludes (Breakfast and lunch included)
